Who Am I?

I've been writing seriously for twenty years, ever since an epiphany in Florence when I realized that I want to be a writer, I should be a writer. I returned and not long after started my first novel, Brigid's Charge, which was published in 1997. I recently finished my second novel, and just started my third.

To support myself these past twenty years, I've worked in nearly every aspect of publishing -- from production to editorial -- for publishers large and small. Before that I worked in documentary film and broadcast journalism.

I have an MFA in English and Creative Writing from Mills College and a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Missouri-Columbia.
